We do NOT collect any personal data. All data is stored locally on your device.

  • ✅ Your settings are stored in your browser's local storage
  • ✅ Your prayer logs and streaks stay on your device
  • ✅ No data is sent to any external servers

3. What Data We Store

The extension stores the following data locally on your device:

  • Settings: Your city, calculation method, Asr method, notification preferences, theme preference
  • Prayer Cache: Cached prayer times for 7 days to work offline
  • Prayer Logs: Your prayer completions for tracking streaks
  • Goal Settings: Your worship goals (Quran, Dhikr, Prayer)
  • Focus Sites: Websites you choose to block during focus mode

All this data stays on your device and is never transmitted anywhere.

4. Third-Party Services

Geolocation: When you enable location detection, we use your browser's built-in geolocation API. The only external service used is for reverse geocoding (to get your city name) from bigdatacloud.net. This service receives only your latitude and longitude and does not store any personal data.

Quran Audio: Audio recitations are streamed from CDN services. No personal data is shared when playing audio.

5. Your Privacy Rights

  • ✅ All your data is stored locally – you are in complete control
  • ✅ You can clear all data at any time from Chrome's extension settings
  • ✅ No data is shared with any third parties
  • ✅ You can uninstall the extension at any time, and all data will be removed

6. Chrome Web Store

When you install Noor from the Chrome Web Store, Google may collect standard usage statistics as per their privacy policy. This is beyond our control and is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

We may update this privacy policy occasionally. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. We encourage you to review it periodically.
